Maria is a native of Buenos Aires where she is an active social dancer and popular tango instructor. Since 2007 she has traveled the world as a teacher, performer, DJ, and lecturer in tango history and philosophy. Maria is an extremely versatile dancer and open-minded instructor who combines her considerable skill and passion for the dance with a background in anatomy and kinetics derived from disciplines such as yoga, Pilates, and the innovative Low Pressure Fitness system. Maria's Method
7:30-8:45pm + guided practica w/ Maria 8:45-10pm / $30
An overview of Maria’s approach to tango fundamentals: the structure of the dance with variations in the embrace. All levels.
SATURDAY 5/13 - afternoon
Musicality for Dancers
1-2:30pm / $30
Understanding and interpreting tango music by dancing to various aspects of a song: the rhythm, melody, different instruments, and the layers and meaning.
Vals: Getting Around
2:45pm-4:15pm / $30
Dancing to the rhythm and the phrasing of Vals with an emphasis on turning steps.
SATURDAY 5/13 - evening
Fun and Creative Steps for the Milonga
8pm-9pm / $15 ($25 includes milonga)
EVENING MILONGA
9pm-1am / $15
An evening of tango to the best classic tandas by DJ Michael Wizer.

Location: Our studio is at 4120 Hamilton Ave in the historic Hoffner Lodge. We are on the 3rd floor, so be prepared to climb some stairs. Parking is available on the surrounding streets and in the Northside Bank parking lot across Hamilton on Palm. Metered street parking is free after 9pm
PACKAGE PRICING:
In addition to the prices noted on the schedule we offer the following packages:
SATURDAY PASS: $80 (includes all 3 classes plus the Saturday night milonga)
WEEKEND PASS: $100 (includes Friday class and practica, all Saturday classes, and Saturday night milonga)
MILONGA+PRE-MILONGA CLASS: $25
PAYMENTS & REGISTRATION:
All events may be paid for either at the door (cash, check, or Venmo) or in advance. Advance registration helps us gauge and prepare for the class sizes and lead/follow balance.
