MARIA is a native of Buenos Aires where she is a popular tango instructor and active social dancer, and travels the world as a teacher, performer, DJ, and lecturer in tango history and philosophy. Maria is an extremely versatile dancer and open-minded instructor who combines her considerable skill and passion for the dance with a background in anatomy and kinetics derived from disciplines such as yoga, Pilates, and the innovative Low Pressure Fitness system. FRIDAY 10/9
Dancing the Quality + Mini-milonga
7:30-10:00pm / $40
Use movement and the embrace to express the quality of different kinds of music. Class will be followed by a mini-milonga to enrich and practice the class material.
SATURDAY 10/10 - afternoon
Thinking Outside the Box, Figuratively Speaking
1:30-3:00pm / $30
Transform familiar tango structures through direction, timing, dynamics, entrances, and exits, to discover new possibilities inside movements we already know.
Interruptions and Redirects
3:15pm-4:45pm / $30
Develop adaptability and true improvisation by exploring interruptions, rebounds, redirects, changes of direction, and creative transitions.
SATURDAY 10/10 - evening
Floor flow: Turning Vocabulary into Navigation

EVENING MILONGA
9pm-1am / $20 (milonga only)

PACKAGE PRICING:
In addition to the prices noted on the schedule we offer the following packages:
FULL SATURDAY PASS: $80 (includes all 3 classes plus milonga)
SUNDAY AFTERNOON PASS: $50 (includes both classes)
PAYMENTS & REGISTRATION:
All events may be paid for either in advance (Venmo), or at the door (cash, check, or Venmo). Advance registration is appreciated as it helps us gauge and prepare for the class sizes and lead/follow balance.
